Snowy Warmth

Waking up to a yard blanketed in snow was a beautiful surprise. The up and down changes in weather this winter have left every morning a bit of a surprise to wake up to. Later this week we are forecasted to reach 61 degrees. As much as I love Spring, it is by far my favorite season, I am still holding out for one big, blast of snow before winter comes to an end.

The snow covering we got is no more than an inch, but the kids woke up begging to go sled riding.  Trying to explain to two littles that sleds do not really go down hills where the grass is peeking up through the snow is hard work. So, I told them we shall see what it looks like in a few hours. That seemed to be suffice for them, for the moment.

On cold, snowy, days, I enjoy relaxing. Cuddling up in the house playing games, watching movies, reading stories, or simply knitting. My dog, Lillie, she knows what snowy days mean too, for she is already curled up next to me on the couch, snoring! Ah, yes, today is the perfect day for all of this. Thankful that I made a huge pot of homemade chicken noodle soup yesterday, so dinner is already done.

Yep, I am thankful for today. It's going to be a good one!

{I am trying a new approach to my writing - making this space more like a journal. Sitting down letting my feelings flow instead of planning out what I want to write or say. We shall see how it works out. I hope you will still stick around. I enjoy having you all here!}
