The Bible in 90 Days Challenge is really starting to become a "challenge" for me.
I thought that after 20+ days of following a routine, that routine became a habit.
Well, not so much in my case!
I am slacking.
But, I will get caught up!
My problem has been my focus is elsewhere while reading! I am catching myself "wandering", a lot, while reading!
Praying for God's perfect peace this week as I prepare to get back on track!
I would like to share one particular verse that jumped out at me during my readings last week. It was in 2 Samuel 22:17-18
{just wanted to add, I am not too far behind that there is no hope of getting back on track. I am 3 days behind schedule.}
So don't get tired of doing what is good. Don't get discouraged and give up, for we will reap a harvest of blessing at the appropriate time. ~ Galations 6:9
Thanks for the prayers, I did get caught up today and have finished today's reading as well. I was about where you were in terms of being behind. I had a couple of really busy days, and I need to make sure the reading is my morning priority! I pray you get caught up too!
ReplyDeleteThank youu! I also try to make it my morning priority, but, shamefully, I too let life get in my way!
ReplyDeleteI will get caught up and I will finish in 90 Days!
Many Blessings! :)
I have said a little prayer for you! Good luck in catching up.
ReplyDeleteKeep at it, you'll make it! Loved the verse from 2 Samuel you shared!
ReplyDeletePraying for you, too!

Uuuuggh...the distractions! When I realize that my mind has started wondering, I immediately stop & say a prayer asking God to block out any distractions and to help me to focus on His word. Then I go back to reading. Sometimes it helps me to get back on track if I begin to read out loud, or at least in a whisper. It is easier for distractions to disturb thoughts than speech.
ReplyDeleteI'll be praying for ya girlie!
Warm hugs & abundant blessings,

B9oDays: I found the first few weeks to be a breeze, now it's so hard to make myself sit down and read. Plus I know I've been under attack. A lot of things have happened to make me feel like "I don't want to do this anymore."
ReplyDeleteAs for the respect issue: Thanks for commenting on my blog. It's a tough one. I mean, I totally respect my husband but I am the queen of eye-rollers.
I hadn't heard of the Completing Him Challenge yet and it sounds great. It seems like it would help to bring up conversations that don't necessarily come up in conversation between the two of you, but are important to have- thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteKEEP GOING- I'm praying for you! I am so inspired by all of you that are doing the 90 day challenge... I know you can do it with God's help!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Jessica
Hmmm, that's an interesting notion...I never thought of "that" as an issue of respect or disrespect!

Keep to it... and you will continue to be amazed. Of course the lists might seem dry, but they are God-breathed and He wants you to read them.
ReplyDeleteYou can do it!
And thanks for all of the encouragement you are sharing through comments on the other posts. :) LOVE that!!
