I did it!
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. ~ 2 Timothy 4:7
I honestly cannot believe that the 90 days has come and gone and that I actually did it! I read my entire Bible, cover to cover, in just 90 days! Wow! For those of you who have never read your entire Bible, straight through, let me tell you, it is an amazing feeling! Words cannot describe the way I felt saturday morning when I closed my Bible after finishing up the book of Revelations. I went and told my husband that, "I did it" and tears of joy were streaming down my face! I felt...different! {in an absolute awesome way!}
But, the road to this point was not easy. {for me anyway!} I started out strong and so full of excitement! I would read my 12 pages every night and was never behind, at least for the first month and a half. In fact, I was even ahead a few times.
But then, something happened. I started to get, should I say it...? Bored! When I had a free moment, I thought of a zillion other things to do besides sit down and read my Bible. I started to get upset that I wasn't getting any leisure reading done. I felt that reading my Bible this way was taking up too much of my time.
But then, HE spoke to me. He reminded me why I started this challenge in the first place. He guided me back onto the right path. I am so very glad that He, my LORD and Saviour Jesus Christ, is always on my side and always cheering for me to reach my goals!
The fire inside me that was burning so bright when I first started this challenge, was re-ignited. I was very far behind. I was reading 36-48 pages a day the last two weeks just so I could still finish on October 2nd! I signed up to finish in 90 days and I knew that this was something I had to do. He wanted me to do it! {and I am SO glad that I did!}
My relationship with Jesus has grown stronger. I have learned a lot in these past 90 days...about myself and my relaionship with Jesus Christ as well as my relationship with my husband and my children.
My main reason for starting this challenge was to develop a more regular personal time with Jesus. I can honestly say that I am looking forward to jumping into a few studies of the Bible that I have been meaning to do. For my Women's Bible Study Group that I am in, we are reading, Walking by Faith: Lessons Learned in the Dark by Jennifer Rothschild. I am also going to be starting, this evening actually, Behold, Jesus Is Coming!: Revelation by Kay and David Arthur. I had the pleasure of seeing Kay speak at a woman's retreat I went to a few years back. She is amazing and such an inspiration. I bought this Revelation study at that retreat and have been meaning to dive into it ever since. The book of Revelations holds so much truth and, to me, is so mysterious. I can't wait to get into it and truly be able to understand it. {my husband is actually going to be joining me in this study as well!}
I am so very blessed to have found Amy at Moms Toolbox. She was such an inspiration and an encouragement throughout this whole challenge. God truly sent the right person to lead this challenge.
I also want to say thank you and congratulations to all the other participants who were praying for me and encouraging me with sweet comments left on my blog and Twitter. I am so blessed to have met each and everyone of you through this experience.
If you have never read through your entire Bible, I urge you to pray about it and consider joining us again in January when Amy will host another 90 day challenge! I will be there!
You can find out more information on her website, Moms Toolbox, as well as the official Bible in 90 Days website.
Thank you sweet Jesus for never giving up on me. For helping me "fight the good fight". I am beyond bless to have been able to freely read your Word wherever and whenever I chose. Thank you for all your blessings!
In Jesus Name, Amen!
I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you. ~ Psalm 119:11

Congratulations!! I have started and stopped so many times it's unreal. I, like you, sort of got 'bored'... though I don't think bored is the exact right word. My NKJV is easier to understand than KJV, but still hard, especially the Old Testament. I plan to buy myself a study bible to go along side and learn the entire bible, cover to cover. And, well, maybe I'll participate come January. Maybe I could do it with others doing it too, a support system so to speak.
