When sickness arrives...

We have been plagued, this week, with an awful sickness. I am finally mustering up enough strength to sit at my computer and tell you all where I have been-snuggled up in my bed with mounds of tissues surrounding me. {pleasant picture, eh?}

It arrived Monday night when my sweet little man came down with a fever. He slept all Monday night and pretty much the whole day on Tuesday. Then, it came to visit me on Wednesday. Weakness and tiredness filled my muscles and all I wanted to do was sleep. {and I did, thanks to my wonderful mama who came and watched my kids for me all day while the hubby was at work!} I didn't even pick up a book to read...that is how sick I felt!! It has been awful!

Well, I guess it decided my hubby looked to comfy, so it visited him Wednesday night, once he arrived home from work. {he has gotten the worst of it with the stomach aches and all the wonders that come with it!} My mama had already left, so now my mother-in-law was called in to take care of the kiddos while hubby and I slept the night away.

Thursday arrived with me feeling a bit better...hubby is down for the count at this point. I am regaining some strength, but now it has turned into a nasty, nasty, cough and cold.

Which brings us to today...Friday! The snow has fallen and we are covered in a blanket of white outside and wrapped in blankets of warmth inside. Hubby is home from work again today, still not 100% himself, but getting better. My little man is doing great! {thank you Jesus!} My sweet little girl never got it! {hallelujah!} and I keep praying over her that she never does! And me, well, Mama's don't really get sick days, do they? I am feeling....better. Still not 100% back to myself, but alot better than Wednesday. This is the sickest my hubby and I have ever been since we have been married! We got it and we got it good!!

Praying it leaves our house by the end of the weekend so we can all get back to normal next week!

“For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds,” says the Lord. ~ Jeremiah 30:17
“O Lord my God, I cried out to You, and You have healed me.” ~ Psalm 30:2

So, there you have it. My wonderful week in a nutshell.

How has your week been?
Has sickness plaqued your house yet this winter?
