Bible in 90 Days {one week down}

We are 7 days into the Bible in 90 Days Spring Session. How are you all doing?

I have to say, I am enjoying my readings more this time around than I did last summer. Reading the stories of Abraham and Isaac and of Jacob and Joseph - I discovered things that I hadn't the first time. I can't wait to see what is revealed to me in the next 65 books!

I think last time I was overwhelmed with it all; stressed to get my readings done everyday so I wouldn't get behind. But, I did fall behind.

18 days behind!

And I was about to give up thinking I could never catch up.

Satan got a hold of my spirit and was trying to tear me down. I became discouraged and lost my drive. The excitement I felt when I first started was slowly dying. I was not only letting myself down, but my Father as well.

 I have time for everything else in my day. Why can't I spend an hour with Him?

I prayed, fervently, for quietness and peace in my day to read, read, read, and still be able to finish on time.

God granted me peace and quiet and I took advantage of those moments to spend with Him, reading His Word. Soaking in His presence and finishing what I started out to finish in the beginning.

I finished on time. Day 90 I closed my Bible after reading Revelations, thinking to myself  "we win", while tears of joy are streaming down my face! It was a feeling like no other. I was humbled before Him. I read the words spoken for me to see! And I did it all in 90 days!! And you can too!

We are only 7 days in. It's not too late to join us and get caught up!

If you are already finding yourself falling behind, don't get discouraged. Pray for God to grant you some peace and spend that time getting caught up!

I am praying for all my Group 4 girls as well as everyone who is taking part in this challenge! This is an amazing commitment that gives the greatest reward!

Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. “Simon,” he said to Peter, “are you asleep? Couldn’t you keep watch for one hour? Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” ~ Mark 14:37-38

  1. I am already behind, I'm afraid to say. I got a little caught up in some personal drama and I allowed that to take up most of my time. I plan on locking myself in my room for a few hours today and listening to it being read as I read along. I want to get caught up, but I don't want to miss out! UGH!
