Word-Filled Wednesday {James 1:2-3}

Photobucket

Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverence. ~ James 1:2-3

When you are going through something so discouraging; so terrible; so unbelieveable; it is hard to believe it is of God and that He has your best interest at heart. That He is working on making you stronger, better, through the trial.

When your faith is tested {now, I am speaking not only to you, but myself as well} cling to the Father. Don't let your Faith wither.
He loves you!

This verse reminds me of this song: I Will Praise You In This Storm by Casting Crowns

Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time. ~ 1 Peter 5:6

  1. Amy:

    The Lord must be speaking to me about joy. My WFW is from Psalm 16:11..."in your presence is fullness of joy."

    Then, I went to Peggy's blog to leave a comment and she used the verse about lifting our eye to the hills. I thought of the words of this song by Casting Crowns and then I came here!

    Isn't it wonderful how God orchestrates these things?

    Have a wonderful WFW!

    Blessings,
    Joan

  2. Imagine my surprise when I stopped by your post and saw the the exact same verse I posted today! The Lord is really trying to tell me something - both last night when I wrote my post and this morning when I read yours. Thank you for adding your thoughts and application of the verse. My family is in the midst of some 'trials' right now and we need to and are "clinging to the Father" through it all.
