I hosted Christmas this year in my tiny, little, home, but we were all together and it was quite cozy! The kids received such wonderful gifts and the hubby and I got so many gift cards to use towards date nights that we can't wait to start using them!
The greatest gift, for me, this year, was time with family and the fact that both sides of my family {mine and hubby's} were under one roof getting along. It was beautiful! More than I could have ever asked for.
My family! |
- The next session for the Bible in 90 Days starts on January 3. You can visit MomsToolbox.com for all the details and to sign up. I can't think of a better, more positive way to start off the New Year!
- My Jane Austen Challenge starts this Saturday!! Make sure you come back to sign-up! I promise you don't want to miss out on this one! It is sure to be a lot of fun!
- The Lucy Maud Montgomery Challenge hosted by Carrie at Reading to Know starts on January 3 and runs the whole month of January. Look for my post regarding this challenge later this week!
- Another challenge that I am taking part in that I haven't mentioned yet is the 3 in 30 Challenge hosted by Meghan at The Tuckers Take Tennessee and Ashley at AP Freewriting. This is a great way to get those 2011 goals accomplished. {post to come listing some of my goals!}
- Reading through the Classics hosted by ButterflyWishes and Wonderland Dreams. The books read for my Jane Austen Challenge count towards this challenge as well. I am hoping to visit a few classics such as Little Women, To Kill A Mockingbird, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, The Grapes of Wrath, Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights, and really hoping to get to Anna Karenia. These are all books that I currently own and that have been on my TBR pile for way too long!
I really hope you will consider joining in all or at least one of the above mentioned challenges with me! I like a good challenge to help hold me accountable for things I have set out to do!
I am looking forward to spending this year reading, knitting {which I haven't mentioned at all lately}, sewing, blogging, and getting to know you, my readers, all the better. Thank you for making this so fun for me! I love blogging and look forward to what the new year has in store!
[Jesus said,] "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." ~ Matthew 11:28
BEAUTIFUL family!! :-D
ReplyDeleteI'm doing The Bible in 90 Days Challenge ... and your challenge ... but I think that's about all I'll be doing. Well, maybe Callapidder Days spring reading challenge.
Glad you and your family had a good Christmas! My mom has met my in-laws ... they're all tolerable of each other, but they don't really like each other. And my in-laws haven't even met my sister or dad yet ... after 8 1/2yrs of marriage!
What a gorgeous family you have! So glad everyone got to spend Christmas together. I know that must have made your whole holiday extra special. I'll be reading the classics with you ladies. I have 10 on my list. It will be a miracle if I make it through them all, but I'm sure going to try!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful last week of 2010!
I don't know how I originally stumbled upon your blog, but I do enjoy it. Great pics of your Christmas celebration! And I'll have to think about the challenges you posted. I'm interested in all of them!
