I participated this time last year, as well as earlier this spring, in Katrina's reading challenge(s). They are a delight to be a part of. The community she creates with weekly questions, and of course the opportunity to win great prizes in the end, is a lot of fun!
Challenge runs September 23rd-December 21st |
When I heard she was again hosting a Fall Into Reading challenge this Fall, I knew I had to take part! Each season I try to keep my list pretty manageable so I do not become overwhelmed and still enjoy what I am reading! This season, I am going to try and read {finish reading} the following titles:
Fiction:
The Bronze Horseman by Paullina Simons {currently reading}
Into the Wilderness by Sara Donati
The Friday Night Knitting Club by Kate Jacobs
Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers
The Postmistress by Sarah Blake
Non-Fiction:
Bringing Up Boys by Dr. James Dobson
Book Club Reads:
Seasons of a Mother's Heart by Sally Clarkson {currently reading}
Weird by Craig Groeschel
A Mom After God's Own Heart by Elizabeth George
That comes to nine titles. I think I can do it!
If you would like to join in on the challenge, it is not to late to sign-up! Create a list of titles you would like to read {can be short or long} and hop on over to Katrina's blog to let her know you are joining in! Hope to see some of you there!
What will you be reading this weekend?
Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. ~ Deuteronomy 6:5
Two of my all time favorite books are on your fall reading list: Redeeming Love and Into The Wilderness. Have a great fall of reading.
ReplyDeleteGreat list of books! I've been wanting to read the Postmistress also - it looks really good! Good luck with your challenge!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun list and idea! I really like some of those titles :)
ReplyDeleteAt the moment I am knitting more than I am reading!!
I loved The Postmistress and Friday Night Knitting Club.
ReplyDeleteMy list is a combo of review books and books that will help me complete the other reading challenges I am participating in.
Good luck with your reading!
Great list, there are a few new to me titles I'm going to have to check out. Good luck with the challenge!

ReplyDeleteThis list looks great! Happy reading! My list is here.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great list, Amy! I've had "Weird" on my want-to-read pile for a while. And I really appreciated Bringing up Boys. Thanks for being part of FIR '11! Enjoy your fall reading!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a good list! I'd love to know what you think about Redeeming Love. I tried it out, but a third in I decided it wasn't for me. Happy reading this fall!
ReplyDeleteI've only heard of a couple of these so I think I need to check into some of them. Good luck with your reading.
ReplyDeleteOoh, I have to check that out! Thanks! Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you've got a good, balanced list. The only one on your list that I've read is The Postmistress. Not to dissuade you - because I've read positive reviews too - but I didn't care for it. I hope it's a better reading experience for you! Good luck, and happy reading!
ReplyDeleteOkay, this is my third attempt to leave a comment...hope it works this time.
ReplyDeleteI loved Friday Night Knitting Club and thought the second one, Knit Two, was every bit as good. However, I'm with the last commenter on The Postmistress. Would love to hear what you think, though.
Happy Reading
I really like your list! There are definitely a few on there that I've been wanting to read. Good luck!!!
ReplyDeleteThat seems like a doable list. I've been curious about the Friday Night Knitting Club so I hope you'll share your thoughts on that one if you get to it. That's one I keep picking up and putting down and picking up and putting down, etc., etc., etc.
ReplyDeleteThis IS a fun reading challenge. Fun to browse your list!
