To Homeschool or Not to Homeschool?

I wrote earlier this month about the different options and ways for our children to be schooled. As already stated, my husband and I have decided to not send our 4 year old daughter to pre-school. We have felt lead, instead, to try homeschooling. Each day I am teaching my children something, so why not try it in a more structured way. Besides, I need more structure and organization in my mornings anyways!

I am planning on explaining why we chose to homeschool this year, what curriculum we chose to use, as well as what I am hoping our day-to-day will look like, all over the next couple of weeks.

In the meantime, I wanted to share with you a few people/blogs that have been such a huge help and encouragement for me in finding my way around the homeschool realm. {just in case you have been contemplating homeschooling as well and have no idea where to start, like I did!}

The Homeschool Lounge is a wonderful place to get every and all your questions about homeschooling answered.

Homeschool Creations and 1+1+=1 are two amazing blogs written by homeschooling moms themselves. They offer many free printables to help aide in the teaching of your child at home!

Heart of the Matter Online offers support and encouragement for your homeschooling journey.

Our Family for His Glory provided me with so much encouragement just from reading the first page under her "homeschool" tab!

Confessions of a Homeschooler I was blown away by her school room organization and would love to have a room in my house look like that someday!

I am sure there are many, many, more websites and blogs out there offering amazing advice that I am hoping to come across in the months to come, but for now, these are the ones that have been the most helpful to me, and hopefully, if need be, they will be helpful to you as well.

If you have any others that you would like to mention, please do so in the comments section! I would love to check them out and need all the help I need!

:: i just wanted to add that i do not have any plans to turn this into a homeschooling blog. i will, however, continue to blog about whatever is on my heart and i am sure in the months to come, homeschooling will be one of those things! i hope you will stick around and continue to follow us on this journey!::
